Vee wasn't always... like this. There was a time, some centuries back and into the era humans know as "BCE", when she was different. Nestled between thick rows of trees, on the banks of a long forgotten lake, were rows and rows of stilt houses, inhabited by humans who frequently gave offerings and asked for advice from faeries. One such faery, was Vee, though called a different name long forgotten to her. Mischievous, charismatic and dangerous when crossed, Vee and her sisters would run through the meadows and weave between trees helping heroes of old and timeless lovers with their asks.
That all changed when during one such frolic, Vee got separated from her sisters and lured by a sweet, smooth voice beckoning her closer to a opening in the ground shadowed by sticks and foliage.
Vee followed the voice inside, everything soon turning dark and losing control of her limbs. She had been transformed, antlers replaced by two horns on her forehead, an oxen tail sprouting, feeling two eyes opening below where hers had been. She was grotesque, avoiding every pond and mirror until she made it all the way down— into Hell. After years, or centuries, of trials she had been sent to the Second Circle to process all their sinners. Once she defiantly refused and began to shirk her duties, her superiors sent her to another mission— a detective sent back to Earth to observe mortal habits and report back on how best to corrupt them.
